1. Who we are
Evade is run by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS] (“Evade”, “we”). This policy explains what we collect when you use Evade, why, and what you can do about it. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].
2. What we collect
- From Steam when you sign in: your Steam ID, Steam name and avatar. We never see your Steam password.
- What you give us: your Evade display name, region, country, date of birth, gender and real name (asked when you set up your profile), a profile picture if you upload one, your bio and social links, and your language choice.
- From playing: matches, teams, results, heroes and match statistics (some fetched from public Dota 2 match data), Elo, levels, points, ladder standings, missions, tournaments, clans and parties.
- What you send and post: messages to friends, clan chat, organizer posts and comments, reports you make, and reports made about you.
- Payments: what you bought, when, and the amount. Card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by Evade.
- Technical: your IP address and basic request details, used for security and to limit abuse, and whether you are online (shown only to your friends).
3. What is public and what is not
Your display name, avatar, country, level, Elo, match history, clans and teams can be seen by other players. Your date of birth, gender and real name are never shown to other players; only Evade staff can see them, for age checks, safety and support. Your online status is shown only to your friends.
4. Why we use it
- to run your account, matchmaking, parties, tournaments, clans and the rest of the site;
- to keep matches fair and the community safe: detecting cheating, handling reports, and enforcing bans;
- to take payments and deliver what you bought;
- to check that players meet the minimum age;
- to fix problems and improve Evade.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with services Evade needs to work:
- Valve / Steam, for sign-in and to create Dota 2 lobbies;
- Stripe, to take payments;
- OpenDota, to look up public Dota 2 match results;
- our hosting provider, [HOSTING PROVIDER], which stores the site and its data;
- authorities, when the law requires it.
6. Cookies and storage
Evade uses a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie for your language, and your browser’s storage for settings on this device (such as auto-accept and your chosen queue). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. Match results and records of payments and bans may be kept after an account is deleted, where we need them for fairness, fraud prevention or the law. [ADD SPECIFIC PERIODS IF REQUIRED.]
8. Your rights
You can see and change most of your details in Settings. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by writing to [CONTACT EMAIL]. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including complaining to your data protection authority.
9. Children
Evade is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
10. Security and changes
We protect your data with encrypted connections, signed sessions and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee it. We may update this policy; significant changes will be announced on the site.
